Un día como hoy (12 de febrero 2009), hace 200 años, nació el naturalista inglés Charles Darwin, autor de la teoría de la Selección natural que da inicio al estudio de la evolución de los seres vivos.
Realizó trabajos de geología, zoología, botánica, taxonomía y otras ramas publicando así más de 25 obras de gran valor en su tiempo y aun en la actualidad.
No fue el primero en plantear ideas que sugirieran la evolución, pero si el primero en consolidar el fenómeno de selección que ocurría basándose en su gran colección biológica de distintas especies, así como de su colección geológica y de fósiles.
Por haber indagado en los grandes tó picos de la naturaleza y haber logrado usar esa amplia gama de conocimientos diversos para aterrizar en conclusiones concisas sobre la selección natural es que se le reconoce cono el Padre de la Evolución, puesto que esta teoría con la que contribuyo habla de un gran mecanismo de la evolución misma.
One day, one like today (feb. 12, 2009) but 200 years ago, Charles Robert Darwin was born, the autor of the Nature Selection Theory. He publi shed The origin of the species in 1859 and with his theory put in started the studies of the living beings evolution.
He made works in geology, zoology, botanic, taxonomy and other topics and thanks to these he published more than 25 scientific papers with a big value y his time and in the actuality.
Charles wasnt the first guy suggesting ideas about evolution, but he had a big collection of fossils and the biggest biological and geological collection and with this, and with his good observations he was the first in consolidate the phenomenon of selection.
He is recognized as the Father of the Evolution for his curiosity and researched in many topics about nature, and because he could use this big knowledge mixture for get ting to concise conclusions about the natural selection: this contribution is a important mechanism fot the evolution itself.
